Blotto/World Today split

This cd was on for a whole two seconds before I wished I was seeing Blotto live at a show! The bass sounds just fucking amazing and they're really intense as a whole. I mean...Blotto isn't just good. They're I EXCUSE good! Not to say that those two bands sound at all alike. I Excuse is more of a Japanese Leatherface while Blotto has a sloppy-drunk good time. I've been trying to think of who they remind me of for weeks but the answer keeps escaping me.... Ah! Dillinger Four!!! On to the songs....there's alternating vocals throughout. Fuck All The Situations, But.. was the song that got me started and the first on the cd. Next is a song about getting old [meaning only 25!!!]. haha..and they talk about stealing from Crimpshrine. Then Communication reveals their love of Fifteen. The last Blotto track starts off with some harmonica...fucking great! I'm working on a Blotto page so check there to learn more. World Today is a little more rough around the edges. Not quite as good as Blotto but still way better than most split releases in my opinion. They sing about politics and getting drunk. Ha! You even get a patch with the cd....can't beat that.
