v/a I Hope The End Is Always The Beginning
Snuffy Smile

Compilations usually suck balls but this one is really good. And it's exactly what every j-punk fan needs. Especially if you don't know much about the genre. There's fourteen bands that play one original song and one cover of their favorite band of choice. If you're starving for more I Excuse this is your lucky day! Their cover is Stiff Little Fingers' Here We Are Nowhere too. Longball To No-One has an earlier version of At The Present Time and a Sham 69 cover. Life Indicator does In A Free Land by Husker Du. The Urchin are high up on my list of favorite Snuffy Smile bands. Zero Fast almost sound American to me. You Crimpshrine fans will adore their cover of Situation. It's a shame that Minority Blues Band split up. One Leaf are good too. The vinyl I have by them is better than what's on this compilation though. Yoichi had a great concept for this. There's supposed to be a Leatherface tribute coming out on Snuffy Smile sometime soon. I still don't know if it's all Japanese bands on it so that's something to watch out for also.
