v/a Newest Industry - A Compilation: 2002-2004

Now I usually don't care for compilations much at all but this one is actually pretty good! There's a bunch of vinyl only and some previously unreleased tracks from one of the best labels around right now. This has some of my favorite bands like Four Letter Word (from the fantastic Crimewave! 7"), I Excuse (kick-ass j-punk but unfortunatley all previously released tracks), and No Choice (a new song, a 7" track, and two from their last cd). Plus Shonben (ex-Broccoli Graeme and Scott), Can't Say (who's been released on little more than compilations so far!), Sedaced (ex-Broccoli and Shonben Scott), The Phoenix Foundation (that I think I need to listen to more often), The Enablers (sounds like a drunk Springsteen playing punk rock), and Annalise - a band that I'd heard alot about but first heard here. There's hardly a bad song on here and the cd itself looks like an 80's reject with it's hot-pink background and lime green letters! Good one Jo and Dave.
